Ofri Dar is a designer, researcher, and lecturer based in Tel Aviv. She currently works as a Senior Computational Designer at Studio Scintilla and teaches at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, focusing on digital modeling and the integration of artificial intelligence into design processes.

She graduated with honors from Bezalel’s Department of Industrial Design and holds an M.Sc. in Architecture from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Her master’s research explored self-shaping ceramics, investigating how material properties, geometry, and gravity influence their transformation during firing.

Her research experience includes work on frustrated materials in Prof. Sharon’s lab at the Racah Institute of Physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an internship with the Morphing Matter Lab at Carnegie Mellon University. Her professional experience spans industrial and exhibition design, including work at Waves Audio, as well as project management and curation. She also co-led “Creative-Differences,” an interdisciplinary project showcased at the London Design Biennale.

Her work explores relationships between people, science, and nature, combining analytical research with intuitive, hands-on experimentation. Her practice brings together computational design, programming, digital fabrication, and craft.
